2 My laptop just gave me an update: File transfer will be complete in “About 2 hours and 45 minutes”. Wait. Now it’s “7 hours and 45 minutes”
-
6 “Time remaining: About 1 Day” It really takes about 1 day to transfer 160 GB over USB 2.0? (Please don’t make me do the math. Thanks.)
-
1 Put the old drive in a USB enclosure… Transferring 160 GB of data to the new laptop. This is some pretty exciting stuff
-
6 When I was using XP, buying a MacBook Pro made a lot more sense. I’m pretty sure I can also get a more powerful Lenovo for the same money
-
21 I hate to say it but I think Windows 7 might be better than OS X. I’m no longer sure there’s a MacBook Pro in my near future
-
6 I’m currently doing an online certification course. 2 hours down, 6 more hours to go. I hate online training. I just want it to be done
-
6 When did Twitter add a widget that pops up when you mouseover a user name or avatar? It’s a little distracting
-
6 I’m watching Cops on Hulu and a guy driving a Prius got popped for buying drugs. Glad drug users today are more environmentally conscious
-
20 I have to say that I really like Windows 7 a lot. It’s too bad Vista wasn’t Win 7. Well, too bad for Microsoft. It sure was great for Apple
-
9 Well, I think it’s time for me to plugin and get back to work. I have a lot of lost time to make up for. :-)
-
33 With low prices like that, I can’t understand why anyone would buy a netbook instead of a 15″ laptop
-
2 To me, the big thing here is the price. At $289, it’s disposable. Has a full size screen and keyboard rather than a mini-screen keyboard
-
2 But for surfing the web, participating in social media, light graphics, editing text, and normal work functions, for $289, this thing rules
-
11 But I think at some point, I’m going to field strip it down to the motherboard and replace the single core with an equal watt dual core
-
1 I’ve read quite a few benchmarks and there doesn’t seem to be a compelling reason to replace Win 7 with XP. I think I’ll stick with Win 7
-
2 @reimagin So far the advice I got was solid. Win 7 is a worthy successor to XP. Win 7 looks and has the features of Vista but runs like XP
-
57 My only question is now, do I want to leave Win 7 on it, or do I want to try and load XP and go on a driver hunt
-
1 So at this point, I don’t know why anyone would buy a netbook over a 15″ laptop. This laptop is faster and lower in price than a netbook
-
1 I was able to score a brand new temporary solution for… Wait for it… $289. I kid you not. A 3 GB/160 GB 15″ laptop to tide me over
-
12 But if I’m buying an iPad and intend on buying a 13″ MacBook Pro, the last thing I need is another netbook. Still needed something now!
