@etanowitz Really wondering how they will police/enforce the enormous amount of bloggers out there.

@etanowitz It should be required. It keeps everything honest.

@etanowitz I have no problem with it. All it takes is a simple full disclosure sentence.

@etanowitz do the make journalists disclose when they are provided something for free? Seems impossible enforce and a tax money waste.

@etanowitz I don't think my blog fits the category the FTC is talking about, but I for one would want to know about paid reviews.

@etanowitz I dont understand why the FTC is poking their nose inside of blogs. Blogs are unrestrained or unregulated individual opinions.

@etanowitz So what if a blogger gets a product for free? Will these rules apply to sites like cnet? Seems the same to me. The FTC is wrong

  • hockeymandad - Twitter hockeymandad  October 5, 2009  Reply

@etanowitz I think the reader should determine the merit and value of the reviewers opinion, regardless of source of acquisition, not the FTC

@etanowitz If bloggers want to be considered journalists, full disclosure of payments and freebies should be the norm.
