      @Ha_Jude You must not have been tuned in during the E. coli crisis. The city/counties definitely need some modern alert systems.

        @CarriBugbee I was VERY tuned in--e. coli, like the 12/29 snow, not an emergency. Word got out; no illness traced to event. No problem.

        @CarriBugbee Reasonable people can disagree. I prefer to give city employees, not pols, benefit of doubt when managing events.

    @CarriBugbee We have a great system in the bay area w/ alerts sent by govt/police/fire etc. Almost instantaneous
