@problogger I would say the #1 "unsexy" truth is that it takes W-O-R-K despite what almost every sales page will lead you to believe!
@problogger um, that a lot of this making money via blogs is 'all talk no action'. Now, that's pretty unsexy...

@problogger Some people expect all information to be free, and get mad if you sell non-tangible products like ebooks and exclusive content.
@problogger Well there's the whole "work" thing that no one bothers to mention.
@problogger Also unsexy: some days I'm too busy to even think about showering. MMO is more work than people realize, esp when starting out.

@problogger You've probably already got this but: It's really hard work. Most people put in a LOT of time they're never compensated for.

@problogger Advertising doesn't pay the bills unless you've got HUGE traffic. (Even then it's not much.)
@problogger The "unsexy" truth? Some people just aren't going to make it. They'll put in a lot of time and spend more than they earn.
